Two Local Veterans Honored at Brookfield Concert

Two members of the Brookfield community were selected and honored as Brookfield's Veterans of the Year.

This past Sunday two members of the Brookfield community were selected and honored as Brookfield’s Veterans of the Year. Former US Army Specialist 4th Class Richard Olivia, and former US Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Peter Brady. They are pictured in the photo holding there certificates of appreciation received from the town during a concert entitled, A Musical Salute to Our Veterans.

Brady served with the US Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis participating in the Blockade of Cuban Ports, and Olivia Served with the Army as an assault gunner during Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan.


The event was co-sponsored by the Brookfield VFW Post and the Brookfield Historical Society.
