Update on Brookfield YMCA Pool Construction: Report

BROOKFIELD, CT — Despite the weather Tuesday, summer is closer than you think and that means good news for Brookfield residents looking for a place to swim, reports the Daily Voice.

According to the publication, the site work at the new Youth Development and Aquatic Center at the Regional YMCA of Western Connecticut in Brookfield is on schedule, citing a discussion with senior aquatics director Jason Paige. The center features a seasonally enclosed outdoor olympic-size pool, new showers, locer rooms and more.

The pool will be enclosed is a removable bubble, which enables the YMCA to use the pool all year-round. The center is set to be open for use this summer.
