BROOKFIELD — Voters approved a$2.15 million capital improvement plan on Tuesday, The News Times is reporting. The referendum passed 815 to 753.
Fixing the high school generator, renovating the boys' high school locker room, making the bathrooms at the library handicapped accessible and upgrading the Parks and Recreation Department building are all on the to-do list now that that the budget has been passed. The big ticker item is road paving, however.
A $2.6 million budget was rejected in May, and again in June when an identical plan was floated.
