[WATCH] Brookfield's All-Ages Club 'The Room' Hosts Last Show on Saturday

The Room has announced they are closing their doors for good. Their last all-ages show will be on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015.

After launching a last-ditch attempt to save the Brookfield youth music venue, The Room has announced they are closing their doors for good. They will hold their last show on Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015.

Owned by Vern Nickerson and Jim Guptill, the club opened five years ago and has hosted an ecclectic array of musical talent, from rock to hip hop to alternative and more. Saturday will be the last show before they close their doors. The line-up features Nickerson’s band Breach the Asylum, Face the King, Fear the Masses and many more.

Nickerson wrote on Patch in 2014: “It is harder to overcome financial hurdles that comes with having no bar. We need to gain attention for what it is we feel is an important community service.”
