Whitnum Charged After Crashing, Disrupting Forum

Video of police dragging her from the forum has since gone viral.

BROOKFIELD, CT --- Perennial Connecticut candidate Lee Whitnum, who crashed a forum for Democratic gubernatorial candidates at Brookfield High School last night, has been charged with with breach of peace and trespassing.

As seen in a now-viral video, Whitnum showed up to the forum and proclaimed her candidacy while the invited candidates quickly exited the stage. When police approached to escort her off the stage, Whitnum resisted, first by clutching the table and later dropping to the floor.

Whitnum is due in state Superior Court in Danbury on April 19.
