CANTON, CT — Less than 48 hours after Canton resident <a href="https://patch.com/connecticut/canton-ct/canton-bicyclist-killed-collision-pickup-truck">Gordon Keller was killed</a> in a bicycle vs. pickup truck collision in New Hartford, a GoFundMe account set up to assist his wife and two young children has already raised more than $34,000. Keller, 42, was riding his bicycle on Route 44 Tuesday evening when he was struck and killed by a Chevy Silverado pickup truck turning onto Route 219. A digital solutions architect for ConnectiCare, Keller was also a competitive athlete, participating in several Ironman triathlons. He recently qualified for the Ironman World Championship in Chattanooga, Tenn. He leaves his wife, Alyson, his 8-year-old son Riley, and his 1-year-old daughter, Lily. As of 8:15 p.m. Thursday, the GoFundMe campaign had raised $34,932 of its $50,000 goal in just 24 hours.
