• Spending, Taxes Topic Of Canton Budget Hearing Next Week (patch.com) — Canton residents are being asked to weigh in on a proposed 2026–27 town and school budget that would raise the mill rate and increase property taxes by about 4.8 percent on a median home. The Board of Finance will hold a public hearing April 27 at the Canton Community Center to review significant increases in both general government and Board of Education spending before sending a final plan to voters in May.
