1 Burned In Canton Kitchen Fire On Sunday: Canton FD

CANTON, CT — Firefighters responded to a reported structure fire at the 121 Dowd apartment complex after dispatchers received multiple 911 calls reporting a working fire, according to the Town of Canton Fire and EMS Department.

Canton police officers and fire crews arrived at the scene and found a kitchen fire contained to the apartment’s kitchen area.

Firefighters quickly brought the blaze under control, officials said.

One occupant was evaluated at the scene by Canton EMS for non-life-threatening burns.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Town of Canton Fire Marshal’s Office.
