Help Canton Families Struggling This Holiday Season
From toys for children to help heating homes, there are all sorts of ways to help Canton folks and families struggling this holiday season.

CANTON, CT — The Town of Canton is hoping generous residents do what they can to help those who could use some help this holiday season.
The town is asking folks to consider donating toys for children 12 and under, retail gift cards for teens, gift cards for gas, groceries and pharmaceutical items as well as cash and checks.
Pantry food is sought as well, according to town officials.

On Saturday, Dec. 3, the Canton Police Department and the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) will be stocking their vehicles with donations at The Shoppes of Farmington Valley, 110 Albany Turnpike, and Ocean State Job Lot, 133 River Road.
Canton Senior and Social Services, The Canton Food Bank and the organization formerly known as Gifts for Canton will all be working together to help.

"This year will be particularly hard on the needy as they grapple with the burdensome effects of continued inflation and the coming winter months with climbing food and fuel prices," wrote the Town of Canton via social media.
"The generous contributions received from the Canton community will be making the holidays all the more joyful for anyone struggling."
