CANTON, CT — Canton is planning some major celebrations next year, but for it to happen, it's going to need some help.

That's why the town is looking for folks to join an organizing committee that will plan out local celebrations in 2026 for the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence; the 200th anniversary of the founding of the iconic Collins Co. in Canton; and the 220th anniversary of the incorporation of the Town of Canton.
