Services Scheduled for Canton Girl Killed in Tragic Accident

CANTON, CT - Services have been scheduled for a Canton Middle School student who was killed in a tragic accident late Sunday afternoon.

Allison “Ally” Doyle, 13, was struck by a falling tree, and later died of her injuries. The accident remains under investigation.

The seventh-grader was a straight A+ student and played on the field hockey team. She was also the 2015 Balance Beam State Champion in gymnastics, according to an obituary from the Carmon Funeral Home & Family Center.

She is survived by her parents, Angie and Michael Doyle; a brother and sister, Tyler and Isabella; and numerous relatives and friends.

Calling hours will be Friday, April 29 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home, located at 301 Country Club Road in Avon. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, April 30 at 11 a.m. at Valley Community Baptist Church, 590 West Avon Road in Avon.
