The single most pressing issue facing our town/district is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.
I believe the biggest issue of concern to town residence now is the school modernization. I believe the council has done the right thing by setting up a committee of three council members and three Board of Education members and seven public members to review and gather data so the board of Ed and counsel together can make the best decision for the town of Cheshire.
What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
As a Republican candidate and former councilmember, I believe fiscal responsibility is very important. I feel that the Democrats that voted to put out the hundred-million-dollar portion for a new school did a disservice to the towns residence by not coming up with a total plan for all 12 grades. The hundred million dollars was only going to serve three grades leaving nine grades and other schools in town without any upgrades unless you buy into their $400 million plan
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
My 16 years of service at a town council member in the 1980s and 1990s and my 15 years of service on the regional water Authority board have given me 30 years of municipal finance and municipal planning that I would like to put to use in Cheshire as a member of the Town Council.
The best advice ever shared with me was ...
