CHESHIRE, CT — The 2019 municipal election is heating up in Cheshire and there are plenty of races with candidates eager to serve in elected office.

The single most pressing issue facing our town/district is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.

As a taxpayer like everyone else, I’m concerned how we keep Cheshire affordable, so I’m very interested in the growth of the tax base and the economic development of the town.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

Although all the candidates for town council know that this is a priority, I believe 20 years’ experience as an elected official in the town, and the areas I have worked in, mark the difference between us.

List other issues that define your campaign platform:

I’m also very aware of the need to balance the financial challenges from the state with the needs of the town, especially in the schools and the infrastructure of the town.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

My 14 years on Cheshire's Planning and Zoning Commission and 6 years on the Town Council, as well as my involvement with many civic and social organizations in town.

What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

With the challenges the town faces from the changing state environment, I would like to continue using my knowledge and experience in helping to guide the town and ensure that it continues to be the great town that it is.
