Cheshire Community Food Pantry Receives $25,000 Gift
James M. Cox Foundation to aid families in need during pandemic.
MANCHESTER, CT - Cox Communications and Cox Automotive are working together to help feed families in Connecticut through the Cheshire Community Food Pantry with a $25,000 donation from The James M. Cox Foundation. The grant will support local families in need during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The James M. Cox Foundation is the charitable arm of Cox Enterprises and the parent company of Cox Communications and Cox Automotive. In response to the growing strain on feeding the community, the foundation announced a $25,000 donation to support people in need where Cox lives and works.
“We are proud to support the Cheshire Community Food Pantry,” said Jay Allbaugh, senior vice president and region manager of Cox Communications Northeast. “It provides food to nearly 300 individuals per week who face hunger in our region. As school and workplace closures make access to nutritious food even more challenging, these children and working families need our help now, more than ever.”
