Now we'd like to ask a few questions about your reasons for running and your general views on politics and government. First, why are you seeking this office?

The current council is excellent with an eye on the betterment of Cheshire while doing our best to keep it affordable to live here. Experience has been critical. The town is growing There are several important town projects underway, including 2 new schools, town park, relocation of ArtPlace to the village district on West Main centered with Ball & Socket’s revitalization and the Canal Trail.

Please complete this statement: The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is \_\_\_, and this is what I intend to do about it.

Keep the town affordable with its small town rural/ suburban charm. Growth brings its risks and rewards. Managing it is critical. I’m a very experienced manager.

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

I think everyone in the process loves the town and wants to serve. I bring a very high level of understanding of the town's goals and objectives and the financial challenges that this can bring. My leadership style is bipartisan, consensus building and welcoming of new ideas and strategies that benefit Cheshire residents.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

It’s a long list that includes all of my colleagues seeking reelection. Cheshire is a safe town. We have earned for at least 8 years a Triple A credit rating, reasonable taxes, consistent support of school budgets that make Cheshire home to the best schools in the state, introduction of economic development tools that has helped pave the way for Stone Bridge Crossing, 2 new schools coming, major parks expansion and parks improvements and on and on.

Listen

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

Family is first but I wake up nearly every day thinking about the town’s business and usually end it with the same topic. I do love Cheshire.
