An elementary school teacher's recent positive COVID-19 test result has proven to be a false positive, according to officials.

CHESHIRE, CT — A Cheshire elementary school teacher’s recent positive COVID-19 result has proven to be a false positive, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.

The school district recently reported the teacher was asymptomatic but got tested after finding out a personal friend had tested positive for the coronavirus. However, health officials have determined that the initial positive rapid response test wasn’t accurate, according to the Record-Journal.

The Record Journal also reports an administrator who was experiencing symptoms has tested negative for the virus.
