Cheshire Town Council Makes Decision on Opening of Community Pool
Delays have hit construction on the permanent roof and councilors weighed whether or not to open the pool this summer.

Faced with uncertainty over when construction will begin on the permanent cover on Cheshire Community Pool, town councilors were in full agreement Tuesday that the pool won’t open this summer, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.
Recent engineering delays will likely push the planned opening of the pool at least six weeks beyond the targeted Sept. 1 date and town councilors discussed the merits of temporarily opening the pool during the summer.
Councilor Rob Oris said it was a tough issue but he supported keeping the pool closed during the summer so that construction could begin as soon as possible, according to the Record-Journal.
