Driver Caught Going 107 MPH, Gets Arrested: Cheshire Police
A driver was clocked at 107 mph on a road in Cheshire, according to police.
CHESHIRE, CT — A driver was arrested Wednesday after he was caught going 107 mph in Cheshire, according to police.
Members of the Cheshire Police Department’s Patrol Division were conducting RADAR / LASER traffic enforcement around 8:45 p.m. on Jan. 14 on Yalesville Road in the area of Terrell Farms Place in Cheshire.
Officers saw a motor vehicle traveling west on Yalesville Road at a speed of 107 mph, as measured by LASER, according to police.

A motor vehicle stop was conducted and the driver, a 20-year-old man, was arrested and charged with reckless driving. He was released after posting a $500 bond with a court date of Jan. 30.
“Speeding, traffic signal and sign violations, aggressive driving, and distracted driving have reached concerning levels in Cheshire and across the State of Connecticut,” police wrote in a news release. “The Cheshire Police Department is recommitting to roadway safety, and proactive traffic enforcement is a top priority. Our goal is simple: The Cheshire Police Department urges all motorists to obey posted speed limits, remain attentive, and drive responsibly.”
