Here is Caulfield's biography from the induction program:

Kate Caulfield was hooked on field hockey from the moment she was first introduced to it in 7th grade in Cheshire, Connecticut. She loved being part of the team and she couldn’t get enough of the sport!
When she entered Cheshire High School, Kate played for legendary coach Arlene Salvati, and she grew into a very talented field hockey star. She started as a freshman, and played varsity all four years. Kate was named First Team All-State and All-Conference her junior and senior year, and she captained her senior team which finished with a 13-2-4 record, winning the SCC 6-1-1 and the Class L State Championship. She was selected for the New Haven Register’s 1996 MVP award. Kate also received the Junior Women’s Club through Athletics Award her senior year. She was a Junior Olympic qualifier, in addition to playing the Nutmeg State Games for four years. She was nominated for the Kwik Goal NFHCA High School All-American, and participated in the USFHA National tournament from 1993-1996. Kate also ran track and played varsity lacrosse for Cheshire High School.
Kate received a full athletic scholarship to attend Boston University where she played defense for Hall of Fame coach Sally Starr from 1997-2000. Kate was an integral part of her college team and she helped them secure the America East Conference title in 1999 and 2000. Her teams made first round NCAA tournament appearances in 1999 and 2000 and those back to back appearances were a first in the program’s history. During her career at BU, Kate was named Most Improved Player, and was selected for the America East All Conference Team in 2000. Kate served as her team captain her senior year. Within the 28 years of the field hockey program at BU, Kate was only the 12th player to receive a four year varsity letter. She also was a Scholar Athlete and made the America East Honor Roll in 1998, 1999, and 2000.
After graduating with a BS in Communication in 2001, Kate went on to work in jobs in the Washington DC, NYC and Boston area, including time as Account Director at New York Magazine, Director of Business Development for Boston Magazine and Director of Athletic Development at Boston University. Kate remembers her coaches fondly, as both Arlene Salvati and Sally Starr were supportive mentors who pushed her to be her best. Kate is currently volunteering her time as a K-8 coach for Hingham Youth Field Hockey, and is the Assistant Field Hockey Coach for Derby Academy. She is happy to pass along her knowledge and skills to her three daughters, who all are playing field hockey! She currently resides in Hingham, MA with her husband and their three girls.
