Hamden Police Arrest Cheshire Men for Guitar Thefts

Brett Harrison, 21, and Sean Victory, 19, allegedly stole valuable guitars from Brian's Guitars and tried to sell them in New York.

Cheshire’s Brett Harrison, 21, and Sean Victory, 19, turned themselves in to Hamden police to face Connection charges in connection with a July incident in which valuable guitars were stolen from Brian’s Guitars on Whitney Avenue.

Harrison and Victory were arrested in Long Island on July 28 for allegedly trying to sell the guitars that were stolen in Hamden to a Sam Ash music store in Carle Place, New York.

On July 28, police responded to Brian’s Guitars at about 3 a.m. on a report of a burglar alarm. Upon arriving, officers observed that the business had been forcibly entered and the front door, which was constructed of glass, was completely shattered.

Hamden police conducted a lengthy investigation and secured arrest warrants for both Harrison and Victory and they turned themselves in on Friday, according to a police press release.

Harrison, of 358 Talmadge Road in Cheshire, was charged with second-degree burglary and first-degree larceny. He is scheduled to appear in Meriden Superior Court on Sept. 28.

Victory, of 25 Brittany Court in Cheshire, was charged with second-degree burglary and first-degree larceny. He was released after posting a $100,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 17.
