Cheshire Men Arrested in New York Trying to Sell Guitars Stolen From Hamden Store

Sean Victory, 19, and Brett Harrison, 21, are accused of stealing guitars from Brian's Guitars and attempting to sell them at a Sam Ash.

Two Cheshire men were arrested in Long Island, New York, in connection with an early Monday morning burglary of Brian’s Guitars in Hamden.

Sean Victory, 19, of Brittany Court, and Brett Harrison, 21, of Talmadge Road in Cheshire, were both arrested by Nassau County Police and charged with third-degree criminal possession of stolen property. Harrison was also found to be in possession of a gravity knife and charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

According to a press release, Nassau County Police were called to a Sam Ash music store in Carle Place, New York, around 7:30 p.m. on Monday on a report of two males attempting to sell two guitars. Victory and Harrison were found to be in possession of guitars that were valued at more than $11,000 and were confirmed to be stolen in Connecticut.

Brian’s Guitars confirmed to the New Haven Register on Wednesday afternoon that the guitars Victory and Harrison are alleged to have tried to sell were those stolen from the Hamden shop.

Hamden police were called to Brian’s Guitars on Monday morning at about 3 a.m. on a report of a burglar alarm. Upon arriving, officers observed that the business had been forcibly entered and the front door, which was constructed of glass, was completely shattered.
