Helpful Senior Homecare Aid Heralded With $5K Monthly Award
Gladys Bovin of Manchester received Assisted Living Services' Platinum Caregiver Award.

Caregiver Gladys Bovin of Manchester was delightfully shocked when the team from Assisted Living Services, Inc. presented her with the homecare agency’s Platinum Caregiver Award for August 2021. Led by Chief Operating Officer Mario D’Aquila, Bovin received the prestigious honor at the home of her client Mary, 88, in Waterbury, Connecticut on February 2, 2022. In addition to a check for $5,000, the monthly award includes a beautiful crystal statue and a certificate of merit in recognition for providing “above and beyond” care.

“Oh my goodness I appreciate it so much!” exclaimed Bovin as she hugged Tom Daly, Director of Live-in Services & Quality Assurance at Assisted Living Services, Inc. (ALS), “Thank you Tom!”
As a homemaker and companion employed by ALS, Bovin performs light housekeeping duties such as vacuuming, dusting, laundry, washing floors, meal preparation & grocery shopping, Personal Care Assistance, and transportation & escorting to doctor appointments, social engagements, shopping, etc.
