Masks Required In All Cheshire Municipal Buildings: Officials

Officials announced that face coverings must be worn by all visitors and employees inside municipal facilities due to rising COVID-19 cases.

CHESHIRE, CT — Due to the increase in COVID-19 cases and positivity rates in Cheshire, officials announced that face coverings will be required for all visitors and employees inside municipal facilities effective Aug. 9.

There have been 43 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Cheshire since July 29, including six new cases on Friday, according to the state Department of Public Health.

There were 731 new cases reported in Connecticut on Friday out of 20,772 tests, which brings the daily positivity rate for the virus to 3.52 percent, the highest since April 13.
