Mattress Collection Announced In Cheshire

CHESHIRE, CT — Cheshire residents can bring unwanted mattresses to AJ Waste Systems, 22 Burton Drive, for a Special Mattress Collection on Nov. 30 and Dec. 7, officials announced. The collection will take place from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.

There is a fee of $40 per mattress, cash only, and residents must place mattresses in the designated location, according to officials. Box springs are not accepted.

Officials also said that there will be a regular free mattress collection in the spring.
