Melissa (Missy) Melin-Miles Elected VP of CT Funeral Directors Assn.
She is a licensed funeral director/embalmer with Alderson-Ford Funeral Homes, Inc., based in Cheshire.

Melissa (Missy) Melin-Miles has been elected Vice President of the Connecticut Funeral Directors Association (CFDA). This will be her seventh year serving on the organization’s Executive Committee. Most recently, she served as the association’s Secretary.
Melin-Miles is a licensed funeral director/embalmer with Alderson-Ford Funeral Homes, Inc., based in Cheshire. In addition to Cheshire, the 102-year-old family-owned funeral firm has locations in Naugatuck and Waterbury.
After receiving her professional schooling from Briarwood College of Mortuary Science (now Goodwin University), Melin-Miles became a funeral director/embalmer in 2000. Prior to joining Alderson-Ford Funeral Homes in 2013, she was a funeral director/embalmer in Arizona, and worked as an embalmer in Japan and Colorado.

Melin-Miles lives in Wolcott. The native of West Haven is an alumna of Lauralton Hall in Milford, Conn.
