Missing Cheshire Woman, 70, Found Safe in New Jersey: UPDATE
A Silver Alert was issued for the woman on Monday night.

CHESHIRE, CT — In a Tuesday morning update, Cheshire Police canceled the Silver Alert and said Joanne MacDonald has been located. She was found safe in New Jersey.
New Jersey State Police located MacDonald shortly after midnight on Oct. 25 and contacted the Cheshire Police Department. She was identified as a missing/endangered person from Cheshire, based on the Silver Alert that had been issued when a motor vehicle stop was conducted on the vehicle she was operating, Cheshire Police Lt. Jeffrey Sutherland said in a press release.
MacDonald was uninjured and remained in police custody at the Mount Laurel Township Police Department until her family arrived to pick her up.

A Silver Alert has been issued for Joanne MacDonald, 70, who was reported missing from Cheshire on Oct. 24.

MacDonald is described as a white female with blonde hair and blue eyes. She is 5-feet, 3-inches tall and weighs 126 pounds.
She was last seen at 4:15 p.m. wearing a gray sweater and brown pants. She was leaving her driveway in a maroon 2011 Kia Sorento with registration number HBDPFO, according to police.
