Woman Charged In Fatal Cheshire Crash

A motorcycle operator died from injuries sustained in the crash, which occurred last year in Cheshire.

CHESHIRE, CT — A Naugatuck woman was recently arrested in connection to a crash that killed a motorcycle operator last May in Cheshire, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.

The Record-Journal reports Christine Parrott-McCarthy, 53, has been charged with negligent homicide for the May 18, 2017, crash that killed Jeffrey Desiderio and seriously injured his wife. Parrot-McCarthy was the operator of the Mazda that collided with Desiderio’s motorcycle.

The crash occurred on Highland Avenue at its intersection with I-691 and both Jeffrey and Susan Desiderio were taken to St. Mary's Hospital for treatment of the injuries sustained in the crash, Cheshire Police said at the time. Jeffrey Desiderio died from his injuries on May 20.
