CAP Gallery Brings Creative Spark to Christmas in Clinton
Clinton Arts Project Gallery celebrates its one year anniversary during Christmas in Clinton with creative festivities
Just one year ago the store front at 20 East Main Street stood empty. Then suddenly a pop-up art gallery appeared as the first manifestation of the newly formed Clinton Arts Project, a non-profit community arts organization dedicated to enriching lives through art by bringing diverse, creative programming in the visual, literary and performing arts to the greater shoreline community.
During Christmas in Clinton last year the CAP Gallery opened its doors to an enthusiastic community that welcomed the addition of an arts organization to the downtown area. One year later, through the hard work of many area artists the CAP Gallery is open and thriving one year later.
The charming, welcoming space at 20 East Main Street sports the CAP Gallery’s much loved red splotch logo and a very recognizable red and white color theme. Inside the walls are lined with a wide variety of art in many styles and sized all produced by artists from the Connecticut shoreline.

CAP Gallery is excited to introduce the community to the many talented artists that reside in our area and encourages everyone to stop in and get to know the beauty and creativity that energizes Clinton and the surrounding area. CAP Gallery looks forward to being the place of choice when area residents are looking to add original art to their home, office or need a truly unique and special gift.
During Christmas in Clinton, this Sunday, December 7, 2014 CAP Gallery has filled its walls with artwork in many styles, sizes and prices and encourages the community to support their local artists. A children’s creativity station will be set up in the gallery where kids can create holiday cards and collages, there will be dramatic readings from Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, holiday cookies and punch and guests can register for two free drawings, the first for a $50 gift certificate and the second for an original painting by CAP Gallery artist Pam Carlson.
