CLINTON, CT — The local Park and Recreation Commission recently reappointed its leadership and reviewed several upcoming projects and departmental activities. Joe Schettino was re-elected as Chairman, and Ron Stopkoski was re-elected as Vice Chairman. Both motions were unanimously approved by the commission members.

The commission discussed interest in expanding the local dog park and constructing a new structure within it. Carol Walter has been invited to the February 3 commission meeting to provide detailed information about these proposed enhancements.

Additionally, the Rotary Club has expressed interest in installing a Peace Pole, accompanied by two granite benches, at the town beach. This installation would be located in the area where the old gazebo once stood. The commission requested a representative from the Rotary Club attend the February Park & Recreation Commission meeting to finalize this decision.
