Clinton Police Seeking Suspected Rolex Thief

The watch is valued at over $11,000.

Clinton Police are investigating the theft of a Rolex watch valued at over $11,000. The theft occurred just before 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7, evening at the Kay Jewelers store located at the Clinton Crossing Outlet center.

The suspect, a black male in his mid to late 20s, posed as a customer, entered the store and engaged the sales clerk in conversation, according to Clinton Police Sgt. Jeremiah Dunn.

The man asked to see a specific watch, which was handed over to him. Once in possession of the watch, the man then fled on foot out of the store, Dunn said. Witnesses indicated the man was seen getting into what was described as a red Dodge Caliber with Pennsylvania license plates. He then drove away from the scene.

Description of the Suspect

  • Black male
  • Mid to late 20s
  • Approximately 6’2”
  • Round, clean shaven face
  • Brown framed eyeglasses
  • Wearing a wool cap, denim jacket and a blue and white striped tie
