SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS AVAILABLE
CLINTON: The Robert DiBona Scholarship Committee recently announced that applications for its scholarship awards are available in the Chamber of Commerce office, 50 East Main Street, Clinton. In addition, applications are also on-line at clintonct.com and in the guidance office at The Morgan School.
The scholarship, currently in its 18th year, is named in memory of local activist and volunteer Bob DiBona, who passed away in June 2002. Three thousand dollars will be divided among award recipients for assistance with costs of education after high school. Applicants must reside in Clinton, but may attend private or public school. Critical to the selection criteria is that applicants have played an active role in the community.
Applications must be submitted no later than Wednesday, April 23, 2014. Interviews may be required. Students of all grade point averages are encouraged to apply. Questions may be directed to the Chamber of Commerce office at (860) 669-3889 or to Scholarship Chairman Ethelene DiBona at (860) 669-9038.
