Five Women Painting Art Show

The annual Five Women Painting show, featuring new works by a group of established artists in the region, will run October 7 through 10 with a gala reception Friday, Oct. 7 from 5 to 8 p.m.  

The artists, whose styles and subject matter vary widely from each other, include Pam Carlson from Essex; Carole Johnson from Haddam Neck; Ellie Pringle of Haddam; Cindy Stevens of Clinton and Claudia Van Nes ofChester.    

This is the fourth year for this well-attended opening and show in the Essex Art Association Gallery at 10 North Main Street.

Show hours are noon to 5 p.m. Friday through Monday.
