Have Weekend Plans? Clinton's Latest Weekend Weather Forecast

After months of dealing with snow and bitter cold, warm weather is on the horizon.

After months of being cooped up inside all winter, we’re finally looking at weekend weather that feels like spring.

There will be plenty of sunshine and temperatures in the 60s, but the winds will be gusty on Saturday, April 11, possibly in excess of 25 mph.

The warm-up continues into next week, as the 60s hang on and the forecast calls for sunny skies on Monday and Tuesday, before rain enters the picture on Wednesday.

Thursday will be cold and rainy with high temperatures in the low 40s, and it will be warmer on Friday with temps in the mid-50s. More rain is possible before ending late Friday night.

News 12 CT Weather writes, “Expect a push of warmer and moist air to come through the area (Friday). We will see rounds of showers and a thunderstorm is possible late in the day. That thunderstorm will roll out this dreary weather and open the weekend up for sunshine!

NBC Connecticut Meteorologist Darren Sweeney writes, “The day to keep your eye on is Friday (TGIF). A warm front will first warm us up… then a cold front will clear out all of this mess. It leads to sunshine and 60s over the weekend. Finally, some good news to report.”

WTNH News 8 Meteorologist Gil Simmons writes, “The weather will warm up this weekend and early next week!”

The Latest NWS Forecast

Thursday: A chance of drizzle. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 43. East wind 7 to 9 mph.

Thursday Night: Rain likely, mainly after 2 a.m. Patchy fog. Otherwise, cloudy, with a low around 39. Northeast wind 7 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Friday: A chance of rain before noon, then a chance of showers between noon and 3pm, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 3 p.m. Areas of fog before 3 p.m. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 55. Calm wind becoming south around 6 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Friday Night: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 9 p.m., then a chance of showers between 9 p.m. and midnight. Low around 43. South wind 5 to 8 mph becoming west after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 60. West wind 6 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph.
