Idol Winner Is Chosen, Modern Family, Man Vs. Food

American Idol, 8 p.m., Fox

And the winner is … honestly I have no idea. I do think this is one of the best final twos we’ve had in the last 10 seasons. Here’s my take, as your unofficial Idol historian:

Kelly-Justin: great in that it was the first.

Clay-Ruben: good in that it was close.

Fantasia-Diana: dull in that Diana stunk.

Bo-Carrie: good in that we at least thought it was close.

Taylor-Katherine: horrible in that it should've been Daughtry-Yamin.

Jordin-Blake: good in that Blake was so different from anyone else so far.

David-David: OK in that I liked them both.

Kris-Adam: awesome.

Lee-Crystal: awful in that he couldn't sing and I couldn't stand her.

Modern Family, 9 p.m., ABC

In the season finale, Phil runs into his college nemesis. I am so hoping this will involve batons.

Man vs. Food Nation: The Quest Begins, 9 p.m., Travel

In the off chance that you have not seen every episode 100 times, they are re-wrapping it with a different title and bringing you yet another retrospective.
