Let's Talk Homework
Join the Clinton PTA on April 3 for a student and teacher-driven discussion about homework.

If groans are uttered near and far when your child hears the word "homework," then an upcoming Clinton PTA forum is just for you.
On Wed., April 3 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm at the Henry Carter Hull Library, the Clinton PTA will host a panel of perspectives on the topic of "Let's Talk Homework."

The panel will be moderated by Maria Moran and includes: Madison Seeger (student at the Jared Eliot Middle School); Eli Phelps (student at The Morgan School); TJ Salutari (principal in Middlebury, CT); Charlene Best (teacher at the Jared Eliot Middle School); and Paul Serenbetz (teacher, The Morgan School).
The panel will discuss the following questions:

- What is homework's purpose?
- Is homework necessary?
- What type of homework is appropriate?
- How much time should students spend on homework?
- What does a quality assignment look like?
- How do we change the homework culture?
- Does more homework mean greater success for our kids in the future?
- How do we help our students find balance in their lives and reduce stress?
Middle and high school age children are encouraged to attend with their parents. There is childcare available upon request (call 860-669-7627) for younger children.
