Morgan Girls' Soccer Ties North Branford on Choronzy Direct Kick

The Huskies now stand at 4-3-2.

Coach Megan Kilbride's Huskies took on Shoreline Conference foe North Branford on the T-Birds' home turf on Oct. 3. The 4-3-1 Morgan team came back from a 1-0 deficit to force overtime, which was scoreless. 

After North Branford's Andrea Canavan scored from Sam Stowe with six minutes remaining in the first half, Morgan fought for the equalizer, while the T-Birds tried to cushion their lead.

With 6:20 remaining in the game, Jessica Choronzy scored on a direct kick from 35 yards out.

North Branford outshot Morgan 18-6 with the Huskies' Kelsey Donaldson making 12 saves and the T-Birds' Stephanie Torniero had four.
