An Old Saybrook police officer has been suspended for 90 days due to his alleged part in a bar fight.
OLD SAYBROOK, CT — An Old Saybrook police officer will serve a 90-day suspension due to his alleged involvement in a bar fight, according to The New London Day. Officer Tyler Schulz, who has been with the department for 7 years, was charged in March with second-degree breach of peace.
The charge was in connection with a fight at the Scotch Plains Tavern in Essex. Schulz's union attorney said the criminal case was nolled, meaning it was not prosecuted.
The discipline was recommended by Police Chief Michael Spera and unanimously approved by the Old Saybrook Police Commission.
