📰 News we're reading
• Dollar General and 5 Other Major Stores That Are Closing in October (financebuzz.com) — Stop & Shop will permanently close its supermarket at 215 East Main Street in Clinton on October 29, 2026, after deciding not to renew the lease. Employees are being offered transfers to other locations, and Aldi is planning a new store across the street, which should help Clinton shoppers retain a nearby grocery option, though it may differ from the larger Stop & Shop experience.
