PUBLIC MEETING Visioning Charrette for Clinton’s 2015 Town Plan of Conservation and Development

WHAT IS A PLAN OF CONSERVATION & DEVELOPMENT?

A Plan of Conservation and Development (TPCD) is the town’s master plan for growth and preservation over the next 10 years — giving direction to both public and private development. The Plan should encompass a long-term vision of the community and offer guidance for short-term decision-making.

PLAN UPDATE & PROCESS

Over the past two years the Planning and Zoning Commission and Planning Committee has met with stakeholders and held public meetings to solicit public input for the TPCD. In order to reach a broader audience in Town the Planning and Zoning Commission is hosting a Visioning Charrette on January 18th at 10am -2pm at Andrews Memorial Hall.

WHAT IS A CHARRETTE:

A Charrette is an intensive planning session where citizens, planners and others collaborate on a vision and to define areas for development, conservation and preservation. It provides a forum for ideas and offers the unique advantage of giving immediate feedback to the Commission and allows everyone who participates to be an author of the plan.
