Sen. Art Linares (left) presented an official state citation to Shelby Mehmet (right), during the CT Association of Prevention Practitioners event held Feb. 10 at the State Capitol. Mehmet, who is a junior at The Morgan School and a student board member of Clinton-based Partners in Community, was honored for being a tireless drug abuse prevention advocate. The official citation, co-signed by Sen. Linares and Rep. Tom Vicino, served as an expression of gratitude from the state legislature and wished Mehmet continued success.
