Media day this week let fans and local broadcasters sample the course while tournament leaders and defending champion Keegan Bradley shared plans and traditions that aim to make both players and spectators feel valued.
   

• Firefighters from multiple departments battle apartment fire in Rocky Hill (courant.com) — Cromwell firefighters were among several departments called in to help Rocky Hill crews contain a laundry-duct fire in a large apartment building on Cold Spring Road Monday morning. The blaze was confined to the exhaust system and roof area, no injuries were reported, and mutual aid companies also handled two additional calls during the incident.
