2 Motorists Hospitalized Following Head-On Collision In Danbury: FD

The Danbury Fire Department had to extricate one driver from their SUV following a head-on collision Friday morning.

DANBURY, CT — Emergency crews pulled a trapped motorist from their car early Friday morning.

The Danbury Fire Department was called to the site of a crash on Federal Road at around 7:40 Friday morning.

First responders found a 2-car head-on collision, with one motorist trapped inside their heavily damaged small SUV.

Crews were able to quickly extricate the trapped driver and evaluate the second motorist, according to a report from fire officials on social media. Both drivers were taken to the hospital for injuries sustained in the crash.

Federal Road was temporarily closed in the area of Ingersoll Auto while the Danbury Police Department investigated the accident.
