3 Danbury Men Charged With DWI In New York
New York State Police arrested 20 motorists over the weekend.

SOUTHEAST, NY —State Police from Troop K removed 20 impaired drivers from the roadway over the weekend of July 6-8. One Danbury resident was also charged with bail-jumping.
- On July 6, 2018, State Police arrested Bruno L. Souza, 25, of Danbury, CT, for DWI, Aggravated unlicensed Operation in the 1st degree, and Bail Jumping in the 3rd degree. He was traveling on Interstate 84 in the town of Southeast, NY, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation.
- On July 7, 2018, State Police arrested Juan M. Escobar Martinez, 34, of Danbury, CT, for DWI. He was traveling on Main Street in the village of Brewster, and was stopped after striking a parked vehicle. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol.
- On July 8, 2018, State Police arrested Jorge L. Pereira, age 22, of Danbury, CT, for DWI. He was traveling on Interstate 684 in the town of Southeast, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. Investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol.
