3 Teens Buy Booze at Danbury Liquor Store with Fake IDs: Police
Danbury Police saw three store patrons who appeared to be under 21 purchasing alcohol at the New Pembroke Package store.

DANBURY, CT-- The Special Investigations Division of the Department of Consumer Protection Liquor Division conducted an investigation at the New Pembroke Package Store after receiving several complaints of the business allegedly selling to minors, according to a police report.
Authorities conducted surveillance of the store on March 4 and saw three store patrons who appeared to be under 21 purchasing alcohol, police said. The trio was stopped by a uniformed officer, who determined they were all using fake IDs, police said.

Two 17-year-olds and an 18-year-old were issued infractions and the CT Dept. of Consumer Protection may possibly follow up with administrative action, according to the report.
Police confiscated the alcohol and fake IDs and notified their parents.
According to the CT. Dept. of Motor Vehicle Department, drivers who are under age 21 face a mandatory suspension of their license for illegally purchasing or possessing alcohol.
