4 Danbury Businesses Cited For Selling Alcohol To Minors

DANBURY, CT — On Sept. 13, members from the Danbury Police Department Detective Bureau working with the Connecticut Department of Liquor Control conducted unannounced compliance inspections of businesses that sell off-premise alcohol.

The inspections were performed to determine compliance with state laws concerning the prohibition of the sale of alcohol to minors. A total of 24 unannounced compliance inspections were conducted. Of this total, four businesses were found in violation.

The following retailers were found to be non-compliant:

C Town, 45 North Street
Grade A Market (Shop Rite), 1 Padanaram Road
Jimmie’s Market, 38 Germantown Road
Pague Menos Supermarket, 107 Triangle Street

The Connecticut Department of Liquor Control submitted an investigation report and will be following up with possible enforcement action.
