Aspetuck Valley Rugby kicks off new season in Newtown!

Nationally Ranked CT Rugby H.S. Powerhouse Aspetuck Valley Rugby Club opens new home field in Newtown, CT, with rugby clinic for high school and youth players with professional rugby player Tendai 'Beast' Mtawarira on November 18th

REDDING, CT November 7, 2018

After a fantastic 2018 season, Aspetuck Valley Rugby Club (AVRC) is kicking off the 2019 Rugby season by announcing its new home field in Newtown, CT on 31 Pecks Lane.

To kick-off the pre-season with winning form, AVRC is hosting a Rugby Clinic with internationally famous professional ruby player Tendal ‘Beast’ Mtawarira from So. African Springbok team.

The clinic will be held on Sunday November 18th from 8:30 to 10 a.m. All ages and genders welcome. Afterwards, AVRC will host a BBQ and touch rugby games by age groups.

About Aspetuck Valley Rugby Club - AVRC competes in Division 1 of the 2018 Rugby CT High School league. The club was founded in 2012 in Redding CT but have players from Redding, Easton, Weston, Wilton, Westport, Fairfield, Newtown, Bethel, Danbury, Shelton, Monroe, West Haven, Hamden, Woodbridge, Stratford, Oxford, amongst others.
