BREAKING: Danbury Man Sentenced to 14 Years Jail for 2013 Rape

The second man charged with first degree sexual assault of a teen in 2013 has been sentenced.

DANBURY, CT — A Danbury man was sentenced Monday in Danbury Superior Court for the rape of a woman at the Harambee Youth Center, according to court records.

Jalenn Lackson, 21, was sentenced Monday for the rape of an 18-year-old woman in Danbury on April 26, 2013.

Danbury Police said the victim reported that a woman was approached by two men offering her assistance. The victim, not being familiar with the area, was brought to a location where both men sexually assaulted her. The victim was able to provide detailed descriptions of the location and suspects. During the investigation, Police figured out the attack took place at the the Harambee Center, 54 West St.

The Special Victims Unit of the Danbury Police Department investigated the incident and issued arrest warrants for Dylan Kennedy, 20 at the time of the incident, and Jalenn Jackson, 18 at the time of the incident.

Jackson was charged with four counts of first-degree sexual assault, two counts of criminal liability for acts of another, one count of conspiracy to commit first-degree sexual assault, one count of third-degree burglary, one count of sixth-degree larceny and one count of first-degree unlawful restraint.

Jackson was sentenced Monday to 14 years of jail time with execution suspended after 90 months and 10 years probation for first degree sexual assault, according to court records.

Kennedy was charged with two counts of first-degree sexual assault, four counts of criminal liability for acts of another, one count of conspiracy to commit first-degree sexual assault, one count of third-degree burglary, and one count of first-degree unlawful restraint.

Kennedy was sentenced in January 2015 to 20 years jail time with execution suspended after 10 years as well as 10 years probation, according to court records.
