Bystander To The Rescue: 9-Year-Old Saved From Danbury Pool Mishap
Emergency crews were called to a Danbury home Saturday for a report of an unconscious child.
DANBURY, CT — Emergency crews were called to a Westwood Terrace home Saturday for a report of an unconscious child. Fortunately, their expertise was not needed.
The Danbury Fire Department received the call at 3 p.m. First responders discovered the 9-year-old girl had been recovered from the backyard swimming pool by a bystander, who immediately administered first aid to the child.
The child was taken to the hospital by Emergency Medical Services, according to spokesperson Erin Henry.
