Calling All Country Rock Fans
Pure Prairie League is Coming To The Palace Danbury Theatre on Saturday November 12
Calling all COUNTRY ROCK fans.
Platinum recording artist PURE PRAIRIE LEAGUE is coming to Danbury's Palace Theatre on Saturday, November 12 starting at 8:00PM
With hits like “Amie” and “Let Me Love You Tonight,” the band is considered one of the pioneers of country-rock, helping to define a genre which also included the Eagles, Poco, and Buffalo Springfield.
Through the years, the band has gone through a number of personnel changes. The current lineup features founding member/pedal-steel innovator John David Call, veteran bassist Mike Reilly, drummer /singer Scott Thompson and guitar ace/singer Donnie Clark.
Now in their fifth decade, Pure Prairie League continues to lead the way for a new generation of country rockers such as Keith Urban, Nickel Creek, Wilco and so many others that cite PPL as a major influence.
The band’s longevity is a testament to the timelessness of the music. Never relying on stage antics or techno light shows, they just get up there and play red hot lead guitar, rip roaring pedal steel and oh so sweet harmonies.
