Clean-Up Continues Following Severe Danbury Crash
The FD reported that a car slammed into a utility pole, which was broken in three pieces as a result.

DANBURY, CT -- Town Hill Avenue remains closed to traffic near Clark Street as crews clean up from the car accident that occurred late Thursday.
The Danbury Fire Department has reported that, at 11:18 p.m. Thursday, fire, police and emergency medical service units were sent to Town Hill Avenue near Clark Street for a reported motor vehicle accident.
The FD reported that a car slammed into a utility pole, which was broken in three pieces as a result of the crash, with the car rolled onto its side.

Firefighters needed to extricate the driver from the vehicle due to the danger from the downed power lines atop the car. The driver who was not identified and who was the sole occupant of the car, was removed and cared for by Danbury EMS and transported to Danbury hospital. Town Hill Avenue was closed while Eversource restored service.
